About Me
Wow, describing myself - it's a complex thing ;) But here we go:
I'm a teacher education graduate from Dresden and love traveling, experiencing new cultures and learning from its people! At the same time, me and my husband love hosting guests, getting to know people and making new friends.
We love having a good time with new and old friends, hanging out together, cooking, laughing, going to concerts, having a beer, making music, exchanging stories, experiences, theories, or merely nonsense ;). We love evening long discussions about everything under the sun and are very much interested in politics, sociology, paedagogy, music.....
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since our flat is in the heart of Dresden Neustadt (the party place of Dresden) and we have always loved to host old and new friends from Germany and abroad, it has always been a kind of meeting point. We've just always loved hosting guests! In addition to that, we had our first couch surfing experience last year in Spain and found the idea of couch surfing amazing. That's why we decided to open our flat to couchsurfers as well ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Jazz, Blues, Garage Rock, Indie Rock, Folk, Stoner...
Some of my very favourites: Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons...
Books and Authors: mostly anything related to paedagogy, progressive education, sociology, politics, history, philosophy.... or just funny stuff as well, to swith off the brain (e.g. Marina Lewycka, Paul Torday, Renate Bergmann).... or even children's books - which, being honest, are mostly written for the parents (looove Erich Kästner, Saint Exupery!)
