About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Looking for ways over water, to visit & work in New York, Vancouver, Antarctica :)
ABOUT ME
I'm a visual communication designer, currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.
I'm honest, open minded, optimistic and not quick to judge others. I'm always willing to listen.
Love good art & design and the outdoors.
When I travel i expect nothing, so i'm never disappointed and always get great experiences. At least s.th. »interesting« :)
I try to believe that there's a good reason for everything we experience in life!
PHILOSOPHY
»We have normality. I repeat, we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.«

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy meeting new people and learning about the huge diversity of cultures and countries. As a visitor i'm very relaxed, hang out easily and don't complain about doing the dishes ;)
And I want to advertise my hometown. Come to the Ruhr Metropolis in Germany! It is a melting pot of 53 cities in a huge former coal mining & steel production area (the biggest urban agglomeration in Europe after London and Paris!), where most of the old industrial heritage buildings have now turned into amazing venues for the arts, design centers and parks. It's a very unique urban landscape in the world with really good, down to earth people :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only wonderful experiences as a guest so far .. unfortunately my flatmate isn't into hosting someone he doesn't know :-/
But one day, in my future home .. !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had two Kiwis (the birds, not the fruits) running around my feet in circles, fighting, while tramping on Stewart Island.
Caught a 12kg Kingfish on a far too light fishing rod in a wee little tin boat at the tip of the Coromandel Peninsula .. the 15 most exciting minutes in my fisherman's life.
Bumped into someone who put me up for a day, let me swim with dolphins (and a shark) at his private beach, showed me wild horses, took me passion fruit picking and motorbiking along 90 mile beach, all just because I had a flat tyre.
Was laying in bed with a bad hangover, chatting on fb with my favorite band on the other side of the world and the coolest artist i had just come along .. amazing how the world has changed!
Teach, Learn, Share
One great thing about CouchSurfing school for me is the cooking! Picking up a nice recipe here, being influenced and trying out a new combination there, developing it into it's very best somewhere else. I call it »global style food«! Maybe one day I'll open the CouchSurfing Cuisine restaurant ;)
