About Me

I somehow managed to excape the office (sustainability programs project manager) for a whole year! So far I've been living the dream travelling through the Americas: Chile, Mexico (×4) US, Canada, Cuba and Guatemala.

Next up: Iceland, UK, cycle touring in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany then who knows.

I grew up in the Blue Mountains, Australia, a beautiful national park west of Sydney. Growing up surrounded by such spectacular scenery and nature, I love being outdoors and most associated activities.

I love meeting people, hearing your stories, learning about your culture and sharing laughs.

PHILOSOPHY

Try and embrace the doubt and nerves and take the plunge anyway. Go with the flow and don't sweat the small stuff (easier said than done!). If I've learnt anything so far in my travels it's that things have an amazing and totally unpredictable way of working themselves out...and if they don't at least you have a good story to tell!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling - there is nothing more exciting than arriving in a completely foreign place and figuring things out, learning the language, trying the food and meeting locals!

I've been lucky enough in my travels to have visited friends in their homes and travel with them as locals and the experience is always so interesting, fun and unexpectedly unique. This is why I am really excited to finally start Couchsurfing and can't wait to host people when I get home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't hosted or surfed yet. I hosted Airbnb guests at my home in Sydney for a few months last year and it was a fantastic experience. I met lovely and interesting people from all walks of life that I never would have otherwise and hoping to do the same here.
