ABOUT ME
Hi! I am a young scientist trying to keep my balance between my passion for research and for traveling, getting to know places, people, ways of life...
I am thrilled by learning new things, I like to enjoy the small things in life and I love how through CS I have already gained so many great experiences and memories, looking forward to many more!
I love languages, music and arts, but also outdoor sports and martial arts, dancing, and probably dancing again :-).
PHILOSOPHY
you can learn anything if you are willing to go with your head through a wall every now and then ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I got the link to CS from a friend one week before completing my master thesis. We left for our journey the day after I handed in :-)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love it!!!
I couch surfed mainly in Italy, but also in Norway, Germany, Poland, India... CS is the ultimate way to get to know other cultures and meet the most awesome people. I am totally spoiled for any other type of travel....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in Italy I had set my mind on learning Italian. I could speak decent Spanish at the time so at first I thought that it would be comparably easy. But then I sat on Italian CS hosts couches for 10 days (I was traveling with my best friend who speaks fluent Italian) and did not understand one sentence. I thought "this is never going to work"... and then, suddenly, within a few days it made *click* and all the sudden I got it. It was so amazing PLUS I was really relieved that finally I too could talk to my hosts ^^
Teach, Learn, Share
what I can teach: Dance (belly dance; I recently got into Ballett too), martial arts (Taekwondo, a tiny bit Capoeira), music (piano), fine arts (painting, sculpting, drawing), languages (German/ English/ Italian, probably a little Chinese),...
what I want to learn: to play the guitar, more martial arts/ tai chi, to speak Russian,...
what I want to share: cooking, enjoy being outside,...
