HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, spread the word and encourge others to travel by couch :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed on three couches in Eugene, Portland,and Seattle, while volunteering. We had three girls in Eugene who took us in, gave us bikes and instructions on how to get around the city and even welcomed us back on our return trip. In Portland our host made us chocolate cake, played the cello and took us out to jazz clubs. We had good experiences all round.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I've just been introduced to the music of Lhasa and Susheela Raman and I love them both
Books- I am a serial reader, it's kind of an obsession. Some authors I enjoy: Barbara Kingsolver, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Ameilie Norton
Movies- Foreign films; Queen Margot, Documentaries; Exit through the gift shop- a Banksy film

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Became a volunteer for six months in Nicaragua. The whole process took a year and a half (with fundraising, training, etc.) It was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Massage...hand massage is my specialty.

I love to cook...especially if it's something I've never made before.
