Overview
About Me
Curious about the world I signed off my job as an auditor to travel the world together with my partner. Because we didn't feel ready for our old lives we moved to the other side of the world where we're currently exploring beautiful New Zealand from our Dunedin home base. I'm an open-minded introvert who loves hiking, reading, writing and yoga. Besides, I'm a bad coffeeholic, so if sharing some travel stories over a nice cup of coffee sounds fun for you, just drop me a message.
As I couchsurfed mostly with my partner, please see some of his references, that include me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to learn about a place by the people who decided to live there more or less permanently and not only by the sights that I could google.
Interests
Travel - and everything that goes with it: photography, music, books and food. I'm also interested in politics and the history of your country/city. As I grew up in Europe I just learned about European history and would love to expand my knowledge and understanding of today's world.
After years of introduction to yoga, I finally decided to pass the philosophy that helped me so much in the past, on to other people. In case you ever wanted to try yoga or are interested in my style of teaching, I would love to share my knowledge with you.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's all about the folk - or could you imagine anything else for a life on the road? Besides that, I love some good singer-songwriter-stuff and there's nothing wrong with some classic rock for me. And of course, I'm always open to learn more about your favourite band/song/album.
E.g. Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Bruce Springsteen, Milky Chance, Simon and Garfunkel, Yussuf...
Oh and books. Where to start? Besides the classic Harry-Potter-Thing I grew up with, I love short stories and contemporary literature. Some of my favourite books are: "The unbearable lightness of being" (Milan Kundera), "Die Enden der Welt" (Roger Willemsen) and "The Orange Girl" (Jostein Gaarder). I could write this list on and on and on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Signing off my safe job for a trip around the world.
Hiking for ten days in the Peruvian Andes, sleeping under a crystal clear sky full of stars and sharing all these intense emotions with awesome people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I looove to cook. On every trip, I try to carry at least one recipe from the country home, so probably you could teach me a typical dish from your home? On the other hand, I could cook a nice vegetarian meal for you. Hopefully. ;)
As I'm a yoga teacher I would love to share some of my knowledge with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A German meal that doesn't only consist of meat and - of course - a yoga class.
