ABOUT ME
First - my real last name is Lovemelt. I married Hamilton Schuler 9/24/11 on the north shore of Lake Superior. It's a great story (we even couched surfed our reception). But yeah, so I can't change my couch surfing last name through CS because I'm already verified. Then I'll start with the pronunciation of my name: Kare-ah vs. Kahrah. Both are correct. My mother prefers Kare=ah and I prefer Kahrah; usually. There's a story that goes with it and has to do with a point in time of being stuck and needing to see myself from a different perspective in order to get out of the sticky place. It worked :) In fact it completely exceeded my expectations ;) For people other than me, my acceptance of both pronunciations is both more complicated and simpler. Complicated because those who really want to get it right every time can't choose and simpler because no matter what you choose, you're always right :)
Present moment, my bills are paid through a job in IT. My degree is a fine arts degree in dance - somehow I managed to work my way into business and into a project manager role. Luckily, I work from home so in between phone meetings, I can run outside and practice new hoop moves, play with my lab roxy or work in my modest garden. I've also recently taken an interest in clothing design - mostly men's clothes and plan to kick the new line off this fall. Although, costuming and being in costume are my favorite design projects. It's my belief that putting a mask on allows one to take their daily mask off. It sheds the veneers. I'm also into Yoga, I've been taking at Core Power and recently went on a quick retreat to Playa Troncones, Mexico where I may take a job next season teaching yoga classes, dance classes and if I complete my training, Thai massage as well. I'm realizing that I love the small things in life, intimate conversations, developing friendships, and anything that nature has to offer. My first painting was done a few weeks ago and now I have several. My boyfriend is teaching me to draw - I'm terrible at it - but I love it. I'm also a big player; a kid at heart. It's not uncommon to find me scaling a tree or skinny dipping in daylight. I love to play games - I'm now learning poi, hooping and crystal stix. Hooping is my favorite of the 3. I'm a lover of music. I'm a lover of people. I'm a hippy and a hermit and a socialite and a goth clubber and a city girl and a girl of the country. I want to be a bit of everything - because that's what we are. The moment to me is everything - but you can get stuck in it so it's also important to have a fraction of your eye on where you're going and an artistic eye to know when a moment needs to end. And I believe that if you learn to shed all of your ego, you have learned to release all your blocks. I believe in the universe as God and all religions as unique perspectives on the same thing. The most open place I'd ever been was the world body painting festival in Seeboden, Austria......until I went to Burning Man last year and met all the people I want to move in with :)
