About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet, Greet, Repeat

ABOUT ME

I try to live life fully without trying :) I've lived most of my life in the USA but just moved to Ukraine to get closer to my roots. I enjoy adventure, dance (latin & hip hop) and meeting new people. I'm a pretty open and conscientious personality and enjoy hosting travelers and hearing their stories. I'm always up for having a relaxed evening or going out for alcoholic shenanigans . Fun usually trumps risk .If you want to discuss literature over Sangria or throw a frisbee around in a hurricane, I´m game for whatever your pleasure.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I live to contribute more than I take, I think I'm achieving it.

I like this quote: "Life's a book and if you don't travel, you only read one page." It's kinda cheesy but makes a good point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once I get my place in Kharkiv you're welcome to come by!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed a good amount of times traveling through Latin America and China.

I've had a handful of couch-surfers stay and they've all been a good time.

Interests

I really enjoy exploring different music genres. I'm currently learning the keyboard. I worked in a tea shop and became a big fan of loose leaf tea. I'm taking Salsa and which is the highlight of my Tuesdays. I enjoy most things I´m not good at. I'm a fan of farming and gardening and we're making a student-centered garden at my school which is awesome. Sports wise I play Soccer and do Capoiera.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Books: Ishmael, Mountains beyond Mountains, Short Stories by Julio Cortázar, Requiem for a women's soul, Love Wins...I feel pedantic listing more :)

I enjoy the musical groups: Daara J, Miles Davis, Mars Volta, Andrew Bird, Ratatat, Café Tacuba, Immortal Technique, State Radio, Gogol Bordello and more.

Movies: Documentaries and movies that most people enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Spain, China & México. I like the organization WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) it's a great organization to see the world economically and learn about sustainable farming practices.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy hearing about the adventures of couch surfers. I like learning about history and politics, probably because I know so little.

I can share information on:

-Dance
-Music
-Traveling cheap
-Programming
-Loose leaf tea
-Whatever information I've gathered from documentaries
-Easy but scrumptious vegetarian cooking
-Other odd skills like card tricks.
