I am a Sikh and am always pleased to explain who Sikhs are to those who are curious. For the past six years I have volunteered for various charities which is my way of giving back and helping the less fortunate among us and providing better lives for others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and learn about different cultures, trying different food (food Yes! Love love food!). Meeting new people who I would never have met otherwise, having wonderful experiences and building up a catalogue of fantastic adventures and long term memories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I consider myself to be very lucky as I love most kinds of music from pop, rock, Indian classical etc. I also love watching movies romcoms, adventure, documentaries, action. I used to love to read books and let my imagination run wild but now I don't have the patience and would rather watch a film!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up in Mombasa, Kenya, I was 16 when I left to go and live in England. 35 years later I decided to search for my then 16 year old classmates. There were fifty students in my class, it took me two years to find 25! They were all over the world, in England, USA, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, Canada etc.
By this time the classmates had married, got kids some even grandchildren. I organised a Grand Reunion back in Mombasa, Kenya and invited the classmates, their spouses and families. We had 150 people attend! We have a WhatsApp group where we keep in touch every day. I am now in the process of organising another big reunion next year in 2025 which would be our 45th anniversary after graduation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very happy to help prepare meals, do the washing up and even do small DIY jobs (except plumbing and electrical, don't touch those).
