Overview
About Me
I am a very passionate individual - politically, socially, intellectually, and culturally. I am a wild child, young professional, Africa enthusiast, and proud feminist. I have a holistic approach to living.
I am a Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp so I have two sides to my character - I can be extremely quiet at times but I am truly a social butterfly once I am fully aware of my surroundings. I can also be very blunt (as all Sags are) but do not take it personally.
The one thing that most individuals, if not all, would say about me is that I have a need to make everyone comfortable which makes me an amazing host.
I also love animals, especially small dogs and cats who act like dogs. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I consider music to be the international language that is the most understood among people regardless of geographic, ethnic, or linguistic differences. That being said, I have a very diverse and eclectic preferences. I am a huge fan of songs in languages that I cannot comprehend so please share your music collection with me if you are not a native English speaker!
As of late, I find myself gravitating mostly to music within the following genres: trip hop, synthpop, indietronica, neo-soul, chillwave, and acid jazz. If you are unfamiliar to this, some suggestions of mine would be: Little Dragon, Bonobo, Szjerdene, When Saints Go Machine, Lapalux, and related recommendations on Pandora.
I enjoy contemporary African fiction (Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche and Nayyirah Waheed are my favorites) as well as social science fiction (Divergent, A Brave New World, and 1984).
For movies, I tend to watch historical fiction, science fiction, action, progressive documentaries, and independent film (Sundance). Not much of a chick flick individual but there are a few that fall through the cracks. I'm also a major horror fan - The Purge and Saw are two of the best.
I have a streaming stick with access to Netflix, Hulu, Sundance Doc Club, Showtime Pandora One, Spotify Premium, HBO GO, and other fun media apps.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
