ABOUT ME
Born in England. Lived in 4 countries and travelled to more than 25. For me travelling is food and culture. Buildings don't excite me. I'm a Mountain and Seashore kinda guy. I always try and avoid the 'touristic' areas and go in search of the 'local' haunts. I am very easy going and make friends easily. I travel whenever I can. I don't see myself living in any place for more than a few years.
I had a major stroke 10 years ago, have fought through it and recovered and am a better and stronger person than I ever would have been.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that simplicity is the way forward. We complain that our lives are stressful, but that's usually our own doing. Keeping life simple relieves stress and gives you inner peace. I agree that we all need some money in the bank, but there is only so much that you can spend. Money brings some people happiness, but thinking of and running after money doesn't give me peace of mind. A lot of people spend more time making money than trying to enjoy it. I'm the opposite
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking to meet like minded people through hosting, surfing and getting involved in activities.I'm new to Couchsurf so I'm looking forward to being part of the community
Interests
I enjoy reading, gardening and of course meeting friends. I spend a lot of time in my garden and with my dog. I have started a vegetable garden and hope to get serious about growing orchids when I get home after this holiday.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to soft rock and alternative music. I enjoy fusion music and Classical Indian Instrumental. I've always been open to new types of music. I love watching movies based on true life events and people. I'm a big fan of comedy and Italian Mob films..........not really an obvious combination, but hey.........I read a lot of books on philosophy and easy reads. I don't like books where you really have to concentrate too much. Reading should be relaxing, not like studying for an exam.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've come back from a paralysis 10 years ago (left side of the body) and am getting on with my life as as I did before. I've changed my lifestyle based on what I can do, not on what I want to do.
