About Me

My lifelong mission is to further develop the relationship among Japan and other Asian countries throughout my life.

Scotland (in the summer of 2007)
- attended the summer school at the University of Edinburgh school of law for a month.
- This first alone foreign culture experience totally opened my eye to the global world and gave me great motivation to improve my English.

Europe (in the summer of 2008)
- backpacked in Europe in 45 days, including France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Netherlands, and Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark (15 countries)
- I got precious Korean friend (Hubert Lee) during the traveling who inspired me into the deep and long relationship between East Asia and Japan.

Hong Kong (2010)
South Korea (2010)
- joined the exchange program called "3-campus program" jointly held by Keio University, the University of Hong Kong and Yonsei University

Mongolia (August 2011)
- volunteered for the government-run orphanage and the NGO "IVNMC" to support the orphans they support by teaching them Japanese and English, camping together with them and making the calenders the pictures they drew are printed on. We've sold those calenders in Japan and South Korea, then sent the income to the "IVNMC" in Ulaanbaatar for their running expenses.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I stay at someone's house, I actively exchange our cultures, not just accepting the cultures.
I usually bring some Japanese stuff as a souvenir for the host.
Also I really want everyone to visit Japan to see the current Japanese society, so I'm glad to host the people who would like to see and jump into the Japanese culture!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Several Times (in China, South Korea and Russia)

But so far I have so many various cultural experiences in Japan and other countries compared to ordinary Japanese that it would be smooth anyway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking in 15 European countries, especially the experience in St.Patersburg was awesome because I went there alone and I couldn't find no one who speak English and nowhere to have English sign. I literally survived there.
Organize and practice the volunteering at Padang and Pariaman in Indonesia for 8 days with Hong Kong University students only with the support of subsidization from University
Volunteering of teaching in local schools in Ghana for 3 weeks

Teach, Learn, Share

I like the style of "sharing" more than teaching and learning because that is more mutual to each other.

I can share Japanese cultures, lauguage, the way of thinking, how they regard the world and themselves.
At the same time I'm always open to different cultures so when we are doing cultural exchange, we can talk about anything.

Actually in the future I'm thinking to work for the cultural exchange promotion, so I must be professional for that and you wouldn't be disappointed.
