CURRENT MISSION
Its not about what you become, but who you become
ABOUT ME
I was born in Sweden, but brought up in the Midlands. My ex-pat experiences as a baby must run pretty deep as one of my goals is to settle somewhere other than the UK. Over the last few years I have spent most of my time living and working in Fukuoka, Japan. I also lived in Verbier , Switzerland for the first few months of 2005. I am now well and truly obsessed with snowsports and spend as much time as I can in the mountains.
PHILOSOPHY
"Carpe Dium" from the Dead Poets Society seems like a pretty good philosophy to me. Live for the now, because who knows whats around the corner.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Most of the people I have met through Couchsurfing have been great fun and genuinely kind, friendly people. Couchsurfing is, in my opinion, the best way to get to know a place quickly, by staying with someone who actually lives there.
Centres d'intérêt
Skiing, Snowboarding, Climbing, Sailing, Gymnastics, Circus Skills, Cooking. I am interested in anything where I get to challenge myself. I took up yacht racing recently and it is great fun, even though it gets pretty chilly in the English channel.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Films by Miyazaki Hayao eg. Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle etc. Life is Beautiful, Cruel Intentions (the soundtrack is amazing), Trainspotting, Shreck and Shreck II (very funny), All About Lily Chou Chou (pretty surreal)
Music wise, recently I have been listening to: Gorillaz, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Jack Johnson, Snow Patrol
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Living in Japan was pretty awesome. I got to be on TV numerous times as well as in adverts, on the radio etc. The climbing over there was a real cultural experience and got me out of the city into the Japanese countryside, where they have all sorts of random little stalls and restaurants selling all manner of local produce and arts and crafts on the side of the road. The best thing about Japan is the way people welcome you into their homes and are so keen to teach you everything about their food and culture.
