About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm from a tourist/surfing city known as the gold coast and lived there for most my life. I enjoy surfing, skating, playing music and having good times with friends and meeting new people. I spent a year on exchange study in the united states where I spent some time travelling and couch surfing. Now I'm back in oz and working in an outback country town.

PHILOSOPHY

“That's the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen.”
- Bukowski

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was staying at girl's place in San diego with my friend who had contacted her on CS, I had no Idea what to expect but they were super chilled and nice with a rad house, we had good times and got shown some good local bars that I probably wouldn't have found had I stayed elsewhere. This made me decide to start my own own couchsurfing profile.

Interests

music, music & music. my life pretty much revolves around it. apart from that I enjoy surfing, snowboarding (when I can) and act like I can skate but I can barely ollie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all the usual suspects in writing; Thompson, Fitzgerald, Vonnegut, Hemingway, Orwell, Huxley, etc. I also enjoy the odd drunken ramblings of Bukowski.
For music I like any decent rock and roll or punk. Stones, Stooges, Velvet Underground, etc. Aussie bands and weirdo music too. too much to name without sounding like a music snob. Also enjoy hip hop. new and (g)old.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been around Europe and have spent a year in the United States. Pretty much par for the course. I could say I talk to Lions or climbed Everest with with sherpas but I will leave that to the other hippies using this website.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music knowledge and banter! I collect records and am always keen to talk about music. I also play guitar and keen to jam or teach - but mainly jam because I'm not very good and would struggle to know what a chord progression is.
