About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To borrow from Star Trek: Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before. And to eat more pizza.

ABOUT ME

Not sure what to write about myself right now. I'm new here and still learning the ropes. I'll put more info once I have more time.

PHILOSOPHY

All of the world is a school, and I am an eager student. I love to learn about anything and everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time participating. Just looking for friends here in Ukraine now that I have settled in. Feel free to message me if you are a local or a visitor!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far.

Interests

Stuff. And things. :)

I have a wide range of interests. Being a geek at heart, you can probably guess what many of them are. However, outside of that, I am a student of history and of cultures, and love to learn about all of the amazing cultures that exist throughout the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are simply too many to list here. I enjoy reading a lot of classic fiction as well as more modern fiction, namely sci fi and fantasy. I also read a lot of history books.

Movies...again, too many to list. Lately I've been watching quite a few Russian films, and have enjoyed most of them immensely.

Music...I love classic rock, such as Led Zeppeling, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, etc., but I am also not a music snob. I can enjoy anything with a catchy tune and meaningful lyrics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the Grand Canyon, surfed the beautiful and challenging waves of the Southern California coastline, been on a fishing barge off the coast of New England, and driven an M1 Abrams tank in the sweltering and desolate Mojave Desert. My next mission is to learn more and experience the former Soviet Union.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't even know where to begin with this. I worked in Information Technology, primarily as a computer technician, but I am switching to teaching English as my profession. I'm gladly willing to help people learn more about computers and technology, and to maximize the potential that technology has to improve their lives.
