About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To not fear but embrace the unknown and find joy in the present moment.
ABOUT ME
I backpacked and taught English in Ecuador and I used to travel a bit for climbing. I really enjoy being outdoors, hiking, surfing, and recently have gotten into spinning poi and juggling. My goals right now are to travel the 50 US states, learn Spanish and Chinese, and to travel to all the continents before going back to grad school (only Africa, Asia, and Antartica left now!)
PHILOSOPHY
joyful, fearless, alive. This is written on a ring I am wearing right now that I found on my first journey to start traveling and not taking life for granted. Once I stopped worrying about looking stupid or crazy - life became a wonderful adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not really picky about what I pick up.
As far as books go, Love in the Time of Cholera and One Hundred Years of Solitude are what have been on my mind most recently. A few of my favorite books are Cat's Cradle, Catcher in the Rye, Choke, On The Road, and Jpod.
I studied piano when I was younger so I have a soft spot for classical music, my favorite composer being Chopin.
I really like documentaries, disney/pixar films, and romantic comedies. Also, cheap tacky horror films and kung fu movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was surfing out in Montanita, Ecuador when less than 30 meters away I could see whales breaching. It was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching people how to do cartwheels and handstands. I feel like everyone should know how to do a cartwheel.
I enjoy learning new recipes all the time.
I teach English and love practicing with ESL students. It helps me understand the struggle while I'm trying to learn Spanish and Chinese.
