About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find the cushiest, comfiest couch in existence and to surf the Mavericks couch!
ABOUT ME
We are outdoorsy, athletic people. We are sisters in fact and created this profile when we were couchsurfing together and now we tend to use the profile together and apart which can be a bit confusing. We are into backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, football, tennis, biking and love activity and being fit. We love new experiences in foreign countries that give us a taste for the culture and people there.
We are two out of three sisters and grew up in a little coastal town in northern California and are easy going, into singing and the outdoors, sports, acting, coaching sports, windsurfing, ice skating, Amnesty International, photography and we both love board and card games.
Savannah:
Guiltily admit to being a bit of a hair dye addict. Grew up in a little coastal town in northern California.
I love the scent of a good box of dishwashing liquid. I have previous experience in catering work, manual labor (wood stacking, etc.) and solar business work.
HomeExchange and hospitality exchanges have lead to really authentic experiences in the past.
I've been living in Italy for the year and have got involved in fabulous WOOFing and WorkAway recently!
I am also qualified in CPR and can croak a tune with Louis Armstrong voice!
Caitlin:
Have been living in York, UK for the past 5 years where I completed University and then worked for an international development charity. I hope to one day set up or be part of a self-sufficient farm or homestead somewhere in the UK.
I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, long distance cycling trips and doing pottery. I also love to explore old pubs, dance to live bands (especially of the folk, celtic and bluegrass variety) and find all the nooks and crannies every city has to offer.
Not very good at touristy things like staying awake in museums but try to make an effort. Equally happy to hunker down for a hair-wrenching game of Boggle or Settlers of Catan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sharing stories or going adventuring with our hosts makes our travels loads more interesting. We're very easy-going, but are motivated and value being able to connect with people and their culture through sharing in their lifestyle. We're full of humour.
Interests
We are avid campers. Love learning new card games and can possibly show you a couple of magic tricks.
Find great joy in baking & eating cookie dough!
Lively fireside chats, penny whistles, harmonising, walking in the wind, giving other people a hair cut, watching & hearing & smelling a big storm, train rides and finding out about new places, good books and festivals is wonderful.
Have a massive interest in Marmite and salt & vinegar crisps...
