Overview
About Me
I grew up in Oregon where I learned all about the outdoors. I really love being near the water whether it's the river, lakes or ocean. I went to Oregon State University where I earned a degree in Social Science. I graduated in June 2016 and wanted something new and exciting so I packed all my stuff into my car, left whatever didn't fit behind, and took a road trip out to Austin where I live now. I work at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as a Teacher. I'm loving Austin and all it has to offer, trying to do as much as I can while still staying grounded and open. Couch surfing has been really awesome to me, I found out about my job at a meet up, met some of my greatest friends through CS and also had some great fun and met very special people. Cheers!

I'm obsessed with Ignatius J Reilly a la John Kennedy Toole's main character in A Confederacy of Dunces. This book is an absolute masterpiece (but of course, because it won the Pulitzer), a great comedy and somehow totally relatable. I read this book before I went to New Orleans and am thrilled I did, its depiction of the French Quarter and NOLA in general is still current and exact. I went to see Ignatius' statue while we visited. I ❤️this book and would love to chat about it with anyone who has also read it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I kayaked off a 20 foot waterfall with my friend in a tandem kayak! It was cool but I'd never do it again!
