About Me

I just graduated from New College of Florida with a degree in Humanities. I love books, puppies, and pickles. I feel most at home on the beach, but I love getting to know new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing so that I can meet, stay, and hangout with people from all over the world. I love learning about new cultures, and I especially love making lifelong friends.

Interests

As mentioned, I am a Humanities student. So basically I have too many interests. My three areas of academic concentration are Literature, Theatre, and Art History. I love to read and do research about all kinds of new things cause I'm a nerd. I also enjoy water sports like paddle boarding, and I love biking and running. I'm a pretty adventurous cook as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love everything, a cliche I know. I listen to a lot of punk, rap, and electronic right now. In the last year I've seen Infected Mushroom, Conquering Animal Sound, Nightmares on Wax, Fell Out Boy (a cover band), In Search of Sun, Krill, Purity Ring, Chvrches, and I went to a punk festival in Canada for Rancid, Refused, Sublime, and Flogging Molly to name a few.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Underworld, Gladiator. I also like fashion documentaries like The Eye Has to Travel, and I thought Gone Girl was wonderfully adapted. I love British comedies too like The Mighty Boosh, Black Books, or League of Gentlemen. My guilty pleasure watching is the Poirot Mysteries.

Books: This is a heavy category, but I've been jamming hard on Margaret Atwood and Gillian Flynn lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied literature at the University College London for four months, and lived with my best friend in Cardiff, Wales for two months after!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am progressing as a student of chess, perpetually learning Spanish, and consistently messing around with the ukulele.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to cook a bomb curry or some southern classics. I know how to wobble, wop, or do the gas pedal. I drive a stick if you're interested, and I play bass.

Countries I’ve Visited
