About Me

I'm a young woman with big dreams and shallow pockets. I work two jobs and do college classes in the evening. I'm the oldest of Six Children, I was home-schooled and raised in the small town of Warsaw. I love to sit in a sweater and drink coffee. I love long conversations. I love cats. I like kayaking early in the morning. I love every day wherever I am, but I want to see it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't want to just exist in the world i want to experience as much as I can. I think couch-surfing gives a more genuine view of the world from everyone's perspective, rather than just catering to a tourist.

Interests

I love to read, write, sing, paint, draw, kayak, bike, garden, and cook! Most of all I love adventure and travel, and I'm sure there's lots of other things I just don't know I love yet!

Music, Movies, and Books

My Favorite Genre of music is coffee-house/ acoustic type.
I also like acapella and classical though.
I love all sorts of movies, ranging from Romance and Comedy to Action/Adventure and Science Fiction.
Some of my favorites are The Lord of the Rings series, The Hobbit series, The Avengers, The Star Wars Series, Sound of Music, Stardust, and Leap Year.
My favorite books at the moment are: Looking for Alaska by John Green, Immanuel's Veins by Ted Dekker, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stood at the top of a volcano in Maui with my grandfather and watched the sun dip into the ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make soup out of pretty much anything. I also know lots of random facts about random things.... I'm a bit of a nerd.

I love to learn new things, especially if it has to do with culture, science or history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to tell stories, I have so many already of all of my times being a counselor for little girls and the adventures of homeschooling with 5 siblings and of my travels in Central and South America doing humanitarian work. I also love to cook, especially with others.
