About Me

I'm a kind, passionate, silly, and curious young lady. I love learning, from diving into the Wikipedia rabbit hole to exploring new places and cultures first-hand. My own favorite trait about me is my empathy (which also sort of plays into my second favorite: my adaptability!). Though soft-spoken and initially shy/socially anxious, I have a lot of personality waiting to burst out for people/situations that make me comfortable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of sharing your home with someone in order to experience new places, cultures, and peoples of the world! Both when I am traveling and when I am stuck at home, I look for opportunities to connect with other travelers.

Interests

art, astronomy, philosophy, poetry, history, languages, environmental science, social justice, and political theory are the major ones!

I'm trying to learn more about commuter cycling, programming, photography, Colorado (transplant!), composting, sewing, fabric arts , and gardening.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all sorts of music, though mostly alternative rock, rap, indie pop, EDM, and jazz.

My favorite book since I was 13 is The Book of Lost Things. I really like historical fiction, science fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, and humor. I also read a LOT of articles online-- current events, social commentary, and science news.

I don't have a favorite movie, but I'll watch just about anything. I really like comedy and action/adventure movies especially right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam in the Amazon with a fresh cut on my foot (didn't realize at the time)-- and yes, there were piranhas in the water because my companions caught some a few minutes later!

Teach, Learn, Share

Patience, empathy, and adaptability are what have gotten me through stressful situations and allowed me to enjoy traveling as much as I do!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My excellent sense of humor and maybe some cat drawings? Let me get back to you on this one!
