Overview
About Me
To boil down my interests to a very basic level, I love traveling, plants, and dancing, and cooking. I totally geek out about religion and sexuality; in fact the majority of my book library consists of religion and sexuality, environmental awareness, and food stuff! Somehow I just gravitate towards these topics!
I own a small landscaping and gardening business called Snap Dragon gardening. Its a lot of fun, and I do online how-to videos. They're silly one time recordings, but very informative.
I consider myself to be a bubbly, independent, laid back and curious woman who loves to explore new cities, and eager to learn new things. As an adventurous and open minded woman, I am open to new experiences that (might) get me out of my comfort zone. During my travels I learnt that you do not grow as (much) a person unless you get out of your comfort zone and place yourself into situations where you normally wouldn't have gone or done otherwise. For me this is important and I try to do this every week- even in my own city!
When I am traveling, I do plan my trip but I do not schedule certain activities at such and such a time. My main motto for traveling (and life) is to go with the flow and not be attached to outcome. Being curious and fluid is key and important for me.
I don't drink alcohol because I honestly don't care for it! If I want a glass of wine, by all means I will splurge and have one, but usually I could care less for one. I like to go out and have a great night in the town, but a great night to me is also cooking a meal at home (in my robe no less), listening to some music and reading a book. I am social but love to have my own space and time away from the stimulation of city life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because something important to me when I am traveling is to get to know the locals and avoid the touristy locations. I feel it is more worth my while to avoid such attractions because, although there is history to the place, there is so much more to learn and know about on a local level. Plus, I meet so many more people when I am chillin' with the locals and make new friends.
