CURRENT MISSION

After travelling every chance I got during my undergrad, it's time to hunker down in Montreal and focus on my graduate studies at McGill. I finally live in a CS friendly apartment so this is my chance to give back to the community that's been so great to me in my travels.

ABOUT ME

I am from Canada, I graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in Linguistics, minoring in Philosophy. I worked and traveled for a while but now I'm getting started in school once more and I'm so excited to continue studying my passion - Linguistics.

I am very easygoing and love to meet new people. Language is one of my greatest passions, so teach me a bit of your native language :)

My favorite part of travelling is the culture shock!! I love to realize that the same simple things are done entirely different in places around the world. It is such a fun and eye opening experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a bit of couchsurfing in Europe, Kazakhstan, Morocco, and I always had a great time. I've been waiting for the chance to start giving back to the community by hosting, and it is finally here!

兴趣

When I'm travelling, I like a balance of sightseeing in cities, getting out and hiking, camping, having a good time with friends, and visiting local markets. I love to meet locals to share a drink or a meal. I like to learn about different cultures.

At home I study linguistics and languages, I like to be active, go out with friends, and relax with some good beer. I play a lot of card and dice games and I love to learn new ones!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once acted as an impromptu translator for a Syrian nun on a flight from Dubai to Washington. In the end I got to see the cockpit of a Boeing 789 Jet!

Well, I don't have any special skills, but I'm good for practicing French or English language skills with. I am also trying to keep up with my Russian, so anyone willing to put up with my bad Russian could help me practice.

Most of all, I love to share stories!
