About Me
CURRENT MISSION
live life as a human and not as a drone to modern day life
ABOUT ME
I am very open minded about all topics. This keeps me calm and relaxed, but still able to talk about anything without being offended. Sometimes I can annoy people for being too relaxed, but that doesn't last long. Being open minded allows me to be free.
I don't own much by choice, so only a few clothes in my backpack is all I need.
Despite the name of this site, I actually prefer to sleep on the ground, so basically I can sleep anywhere. Don't use a pillow either, so don't get surprised when I reject the normal comforts. A sheet will do fine.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't subscribe to any official way of thinking, as I believe that everyone has unique thoughts and thus can't be entirely classified into a group. I am a free thinker, but not without morals. The essence of my morals is to minimise negative impact towards others. I'm not religious, but am happy to discuss about religion and how it relates to one's life and happiness.
I live simply with essentially no desires and in the present. I try to make other people happy (not haha happy, maybe more contentment) by just being and giving my time to them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The next time I actually have my own accommodation I will be opening my doors to couch surfers. Until then, I can only be greatful for the generousity of others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only tried couch surfing once after reading about it on the internet. I thought that it was a great idea. The place I went to was a big house with all the modern luxuries, but I chose to sleep on the floor as that is what I find most comfortable.
Interests
I like travelling around and finding out how normal people live in different countries. I enjoy doing touristy things for a short amount of time, but most of my enjoyment comes from walking around backstreets and meeting local people. When I stay with my friends around the world, after a few days I am usually able to tell them something new about their local community. If you live life at walking pace, there is plenty of time to see the small things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I got sick of carrying around paper books (although I do prefer them), as they weigh too much, so I do a lot of reading on an ebook reader.
I mainly read non-fiction books of all different topics, but mainly ones that I can learn something from. A lot of science, finance, business related books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing that has stuck out for me is walking through the slums in different countries (India, Philippines, China) and seeing that despite the lack of basic amenities, there is always a TV around.
