ABOUT ME
I spent most my years after high school having adventures in mountains. I hiked a bunch of the PCT, built a cabin type structure in Buena Vista, CO and lived out a bone chilling winter- not really sure what I was proving. I came to Humboldt after some schooling to help protect the Redwoods. I fell in love with climbing and tree health and have been here since working on trees and learning about animals. I have a horse and dog now which is about right for where I live. If I didn't travel so much, I'd have two milking goats. I enjoy packing trips, mushroom hunting and watercolors.
PHILOSOPHY
We are here. Making the most of it is different for each. People go to work everyday blinded and motivated by the need for money and the pressure to continue progress. Progress has been completed, even overdone, in enough areas that working on community , art, relationships, environments-especially small and possible to better, is the pressure I allow myself. Staying a little in the struggle is good for the spirit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just found out about CS but have done it on my own. It's nice to have a forum though. I signed up to locate a place to stay in New York and am amazed how many people are doing cs in upstate
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to couch surf all the time when younger and traveling. Now, I'm pretty over railroad tracks and feeling like I'm in someones way. It's nice to return the favor and it'll be great to stay with people that are into hosting and haven't heard my jokes and stories.
Interests
Japanese woodworking, horse plowing, logging and wagons, small scale farming, cut flowers, wasabi, dog training, mushroom hunting, proper tree houses and gut wrenching rope swings, art nights with good friends, cold beer after work, burning man folks who are not at burning man, kites that kick ass, hay making.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Worlds fair in Japan was outta sight. It's in Shanghai this year. Train hopping is a must for anyone, 1200 miles on the Pacific Crest trail through the desserts into the alpine.mmmm One of the most moving this was buying a HUGE herd of sheep, breeding them and watching them give birth.
Teach, Learn, Share
Rope work, knots, edible plants, horse stuff, jokes, mapping. I've got lots to learn- Computer stuff
