About Me

I get out and try things as much as possible - yoga, kayaking, meditation, etc. Especially meditation. Just completed a week long silent retreat. Definitely something we can chat about!

Left my job October 2011 for a trip to South America. Learned Tango in Buenos Aires then continued on to Brazil. Seven cities and six months later I can now say - Falo o Portuguese mais ou menos e agora eu sou meio e meio Americano e Braseleiro. :)

Now living in Austin, Texas with some great friends and good times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back in DC I hosted a number of events and kept things interesting for locals and surfers. I hosted a yoga class, parties, happy hours, and other events.

I got involved in CouchSurfing after a trip to Europe. It was long overdue and what I consider my first international trip. It was a test and a very successful one at that. I made my way through two countries where I didn't know the language and made most of my arrangements while on the road through internet cafes.

Surfed in Baltimore between the art museum and crab one day and the potluck the next day. Great host, amazing time.

Hosted in Arlington after playing a blues jam downtown.

Travelling across South America. First stop was Buenos Aires then Iguazu Falls and Brazil. Looking to meet as many couchsurfers as possible to learn about the local culture, get some help with the language, and get to know some incredible people. Couchsurfers are some of the best people I've ever met!
