I’m lucky to be living and working in Turkey for the past three years, and traveling to visit friends and family nearby. Highlights from 2022: Dalyan, Marmaris, Turunç, Ölüdeniz, Fethiye, Alaçatı, Çeşme, Foça, Tunis, Sousse, Bizerte. 2023: Plovdiv, Urla, Copenhagen, Helsingor (and Helsingborg too), Cambridge, Norwich, and the Norfolk English countryside. 2024: Bursa, Eskişehir, Vilnius (!!), Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, the most chaotically enjoyable bus + hitchhiking journey across the Balkans, Yerevan, Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Rize, Trabzon. Plans for 2025: recovering from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia. + Antep! Erbil! Narva!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Born in the Soviet Union and raised in Istanbul and Washington, DC, I’m now calling Türkiye home again. I help run a weekly meetup for expats from all over the world living in Istanbul as well as travelers -- join us on Fridays at LONDON PUB in Kadıköy! Additionally semi active within Izmir communities.

I’m in year two of doing an alcohol-dry month every season, with the goal of making it at least six months out of the year next. Happy to share experiences and tips around (slowly) giving up booze.
