Finished my Ph.D. in engineering and decided to "retire" and worry about that job thing later. Traveled from February 2007 to May 2013 mostly in Asia but also a little time in Africa and Turkey/Georgia. Spent the most time in the Himalayas of Nepal, India and Tibet. But "later" came and I'm now in Chicago working on a new project with a good Sherpa friend of mine to allow travelers to hire trekking guides on line then let others join the group and share the cost of the guide.
