About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Maintain sanity, maintain insanity

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going guy, I love traveling and learning about the world. I currently live in Athens, GA after living in California, Namibia, France and Texas over the last 10 years. I enjoy electronic and reggae music, the trumpet, and dancing around to them. I try to go to lots of live music, get outdoors a lot. I have a surf board but need to use it more often, especially since I now don't live near the ocean. I have an amazing parrot, Yobbo.

PHILOSOPHY

enjoy life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed in the USA, Latin America, Africa, Asia & Europe--and it's been great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've really enjoyed CS. I only got introduced to it in 2008 but as early as 2005 I let backpackers I met while traveling around Panama stay at my house in Panama City--it was a revelation to find that there's actually an organized way for hosting & surfing round the world. I think CS is amazing for cultural exchange, meeting new & great people, and for making travel more affordable.

I've also been fortunate to see some amazing places in the world: Sossusvlei Dunes, Dogon Country (Mali), Iguaçu falls, Victoria Falls, the Galapagos, and more.
