Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seeing the world.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, went to school in Southern Minnesota, lived in Rome for 4 months, and just finished a 2 year Peace Corps Service in Eastern Mongolia.
I love to travel and see new things, but above all, I love meeting new people all over the world.
PHILOSOPHY
"Wherever you go, there you are"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting, surfing, and meeting up with CSers whenever I can!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was fairly isolated in Mongolia (no internet), but I had a few surfers stumble upon my ger. We had a wonderful time and I was able to play tour guide to the most interesting parts of my community.
And it's always nice to speak English, since I am the only foreigner in the town :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a sucker for stupid funny films i.e. Ace Ventura, Wayne's World, Dumb and dumber.
I love music in general. I have no qualms with any genre, but as of late, I have been favoring bluegrass.
Same goes for books. I'll read anything I can get my hands on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've lived 2 years in a Mongolian ger on the edge of the Gobi Desert.
Mongolia is an amazing country.
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's see. I have a basic knowledge of birds and plants, but I hunger to know more. Living in Mongolia has taught me how to make a pretty awesome fire and survive in the cold.
I studied at a liberal arts school so I know how to read, write, and think.
And I can knit.
