ABOUT ME
I have a kick-ass job that I love, but try not to take life too seriously. I love to cook, and enjoy the challenge of getting my weekly CSA delivery of fresh veggies and having to figure out how to make new and delicious meals from them - even the veggies I don't like! Nothing beats a good beer, good music in the background, and good friends. I volunteer in disaster areas, which has helped me develop some pretty cool skills, and helps me appreciate the simple things in life.
I don't plan too far in advance & will struggle to know if I can accept guests too far in advance. Last minute requests are welcome!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed and hosted. Right now I have limited space & work many nights & weekends. I would love to host, but it is very limited at this moment unfortunately.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Love hosting and meeting people from all over AND getting to know a town from those who own it when traveling, rather than a book or blog. Love it! :)
Interests
For the most part, you'll catch me outside. Running, biking, hiking, gardening, etc. I try to explore the cool cultural attractions we are spoiled with in the area, check out a local vineyard or escape to the mountains when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few weeks after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, I drove down and volunteered in the relief effort. Too many things there left me awestruck. I also flew down to Haiti in 2008 after 4 hurricanes left much of the countryside flooded. Seeing so many people in such severe destitution SMILING all the time, really helps puts things into perspective...
