Sono sempre stato interessato in tutto ciò che riuscisse a catturare la mia attenzione. Iniziai a disegnare da piccolo, lasciando che la mia passione si nutrisse ed espandesse attraverso gli anni. Oggi faccio spesso storyboards, disegni, ritratti, caricature e disegni di vario tipo su commissione. Ho avuto anche modo fare esperienza come grafico ed animatore presso alcuni studi ed aziende creative.
In parallelo con l’arte “visuale”, iniziai a studiare uno strumento musicale a sedici anni. Finalmente potei colpire dei tamburi veri, dopo aver percosso praticamente qualsiasi altra cosa per un bel po’. Questi mi hanno sempre affascinato per via della loro potenza ed antichità. Nel corso degli ultimi 10 anni ho suonato in diversi progetti musicali che spaziavano dal jazz al rock, al pop, al funky e all’elettronica.
Mi piace quindi fare ironia su questa mia dicotomia interna, riferendomi talvolta alla mia mano destra come quella votata al disegno e alle arti visive, e quella sinistra al mondo musicale. Cambiano ruolo piuttosto spesso: quando una è mia moglie l’altra è la mia amante, e viceversa. Proprio questa intercambiabilità mi fa sentire libero e vivo. E mi piace rendere gli altri partecipi di questo benigno conflitto come posso.

I've always been interested in everything that would catch my attention. I started to draw on paper with pencils at a very early age, and then kept my skills and passion rise throughout the years. Nowadays I often make storyboards, drawings and portraits under commission. I also had the chance to make experience as a graphic designer and animator in some creative studios and agencies.
Side by side with the "visual" art form, i got into playing music by age 16th. I could beat some real drums at last, after smashing on anything but drums in my house for quite a long time! I've always been in love with drums because of their power and ancestry. During the last 10 years I played drums for many different music projects ranging from jazz to rock, pop, funky and electronics.
So, I like to joke over this kind of duality inside of me, by reffering to my "right hand" as the drawing/visual art side, and my "left hand" as the music world one. They change role quite often: when one is my wife, the other one is my mistress, and vice versa. This interchangeability make me feel free and alive. And I like to share this benign, small struggle with others the way I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Credo che per esternare qualcosa, si debba prima averla interiorizzata. Se si pretende di andare in senso opposto c'è il rischio di parlare con una voce che non è realmente la tua. Buon ingresso = buona uscita.

I believe that to let out, you need to let in first. If you pretend to do the other way round, you end up speaking with a voice which is not yours. Good input = good output.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ospitato a Londra, in Spagna e in diverse località italiane nel corso del mio viaggio in giro per l'Italia come artista di strada dell'estate scorsa (luglio-agosto 2014 - il blog del viaggio : http://italiainpuntadimatita.wordpress.com) . Conosciuto molti viaggiatori come ospitante tramite casa di una amica.

Hosted in London, Spain and in many italian cities during my around-Italy trip as a street artist last summer (july-august 2014 - travel blog : http://italiainpuntadimatita.wordpress.com). Met many travellers from all around by having them hosted in a close friend's house.

Interests

L'arte e la creatività in ogni loro forma. Giocare, letteralmente. La musica, come danza dei sensi (visto che in fatto di danza "reale" sono abbastanza una frana).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"Incredibile" è un termine un po' relativo. Buttarsi da un aereo o fare chissà quale altra follia per qualcuno può essere pura routine! La vita è sempre incredibile, e non capisco come ci si possa annoiare a questo mondo.

"Amazing" is quite a relative word. Jumping off an airplane or doing some other outstanding things might be nothing more than routine for some! Life is always amazing, and I don't understand how is it possibile to get bored in this world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Disegno un po' di tutto, da fumetti a ritratti e caricature. E suono e insegno la batteria. Sarei quindi felice di insegnarti qualcosa di queste cose se lo desideri! Riesco anche a fare strane cose col mio labbro superiore. In ogni caso, credo che chiunque possa insegnare qualcosa anche senza volerlo, nel bene o nel male.

I draw quite anything, from comics, to portraits and caricatures. And I play and teach drums. So I'd be glad to teach you something about this things if you'd like! And i can make strange things with my upper lip.
Anyway, I truly believe that anyone can teach you something even not on purpose, for better or for worse.
