Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to fashion the ultimate piece of toast; to be of use.
ABOUT ME
It is a personal goal of mine to one day have an avocado tree of my own-- how glorious that would be. I love very large furry dogs, sprawling trees, ocean skinny dipping, biking, coffee shops, drawing, painting, tiny utensils, record players, things of antiquity, people who've been in the sun for so long their faces start to look like raisins.
PHILOSOPHY
This quote from David Foster Wallace: ... "there are all different kinds of freedom, and the kind that is most precious you will not hear much talked about in the great outside world of winning and achieving and displaying. The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day. That is real freedom."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If I can offer a couch for you to rest your weary bones upon, I will; if I can rest my own weary travelin' bones upon your couch, and learn something about you and where you live in the process, well, this sounds perfect to me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Every experience I've had so far has been fantastic. There haven't been so many so far, but, I intend to change that whenever possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I almost died hiking on the border of France and Switzerland. but I didn't. and once my friend and I reached the top, it was completely glorious for about 3 minutes and then it started to rain like tiny needles and there were a bunch of funny cows mooing at our misfortune. We then found this tiny cottage to burrow into and had apple pie and tea. I guess i'm not making this sound like the best thing, but, really, it was.
El Camino De Santiago--maybe the best thing I've ever done. (pilgrimage across Spain!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make shrinky-dink jewelery, how to bind small journals, yoga, and how to make really excellent guacamole. I would love to learn how to grow things, how to swing dance, how to make wine, how to be an acrobat.
