ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Scarlett. I'm currently a student at Arizona State University studying journalism and mass communications. I really love to write and explore and take photos, some times all at the same time. I love meeting new people and hearing about their experiences. Usually it expires me to try something new. I'm especially interested in new cultures and religions.

I love my dogs and love to explore Phoenix with them. There's lots of places within walking distances of my apartment and living in the art district makes for some especially scenic walks.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe you should live your life with adventure in mind and having incredible life experiences. It shouldn't be about money or wealth but about finding joy in your life. I also believe in setting an example for what kind of society you want to live in. If you believe that people shouldn't steal, don't steal EVER. If you believe people shouldn't kill, don't even buy a weapon. Be the change you wish to see in the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In life? Well, I cover news and events all over Phoenix. Personally I think journalists contribute a lot to society but that's probably a biased opinion. I also generally try to be nice to people and make the world a happier place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, when I went to Europe last summer, I was hosted a couple of times. It was a really excellent experience for the most part. I'm really interested in hosting because I love getting to know new people. I also think there are some really interesting places in Phoenix and my place is ideal for people interested in downtown Phoenix. I also think I can offer a lot of information about Arizona State, where I'm a student. I am actually a verified member (or I was) but I recently moved and am waiting for a new code.

I love music is different languages! Even if I can't understand it, I usually like all of it. I really like rock music and have a hard time listening to music without words. I love comedies and kid's movies. I love to read fiction.

I think seeing Jim Morrison's grave on the anniversary of his death was a really incredible experience, as well as the friend I met there.

I also think all my drives across America have also provided me with a lot of adventures.
