ABOUT ME

Our names are Nick & Andrea Schaefer we are 29 years old and currently live in Mendota, IL. We have been married for 5 years in June. We love the outdoors, nature, and love to work with our hands. We really enjoy cooking gourmet foods for ourselves and others, as well trying new foods is an adventure for us. We would love to meet up with you and go out for coffee, make you some dinner, take you somewhere fun, or open our couch to you.

PHILOSOPHY

We are both Christians born again by the Holy Spirit. Made in Jesus Christ image and continually being conformed by the spirit of God to Jesus Christ nature. Each day for ourselves is a walk with the spirit of God and a learning process of what it means to be like Gods nature. We mess up a lot but we try to do the right thing always to bring glory to God.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Making ourselves available to the global Couch Surfing community by meeting for coffee or dinner and making our place available to anyone who needs a place to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had five different people people riding across the United States on bicycles stay overnight at our house. They turned out to be really awesome friends. We are very excited to hang out with people on the CS network and also do some national and international traveling while meeting new people on the new network.

Interests

We love to entertain friends, go on adventures such as; rock climbing, hiking, running, and exploring the city, we also really enjoy gardening fresh vegetables, cooking with fresh healthy foods, and being introduced to new adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the magnificent mile in downtown Chicago, got to see the private art galleries and eat at the Big Bowl Gourmet Asian Restaurant. Also enjoyed going to Navy Pier for the first time; it is a great place to enjoy the big waters.

Starved Rock is also an awesome place to enjoy the great outdoors. Many animals, people, sites, and wonders of God's creation!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you ever stay at a hotel NEGOTIATE WITH THEM!!! They can and are able to give you a better rate. Negotiate and save your self usually $20.00. Thats a tank of gas or a steak. Always negotiate!!! :-)

Just say thats not good enough, I want a better deal, and be silent! Wait! It works every time.
