About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a French-Colombian student living in France, somewhat crazy, loquacious or even loose-lipped. Rather young, but not too much. A mixture of a science-fiction action hero and a dusty scholar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started organizing language exchange groups in Colombia a couple of summers ago. The amount of amazing people I got the chance to meet was astounding. Most of them were couchsurfers. Even though I sometimes enjoy a more stable, sedentary lifestyle, one of the things I love most is traveling and blending into different cultures through language and by talking to locals.
Interests
I love learning languages in order to read all kinds of literature. I often go to the movies, museums or concerts. I like playing basketball and traveling light.
Music, Movies, and Books
Ancient literature, mainly Homer and Greek Tragedy, the complete works of Jorge Luis Borges and most of what Roberto Bolaño wrote, Don De Lillo's novels, "Bouvard et Pécuchet" by Flaubert, French 19th and 20th century poetry, the "Duino Elegien" by Rilke, Yannis Ritsos "Η τετάρτη διάσταση", Heiner Müller's "Philoktet" and "Zement", Brazilian contemporary poetry, the "Letters" of Seneca, Faulkner's "Light in August".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The view of Cairo from the top of a mosk's tapering minaret.
Reading Borges for the first time.
Discovering the magic of words in a new language.
