I was born in Germany but grew up in Canada, and spent a good chunk of time living in the northeastern US, too. I've been farming and studying farming for ten years now. I love to explore farmers markets, cook & eat (!) good food, and hike/bike or generally spent time outdoors.

Interests

I have a weakness for heirloom vegetables and curious seeds. I love to cook, preserve, knit, spin, and weave. I write about ecology and agriculture for a US-based magazine. I'm interested in green building and plan to build a house (even a little one!) in the next 5 years.
