About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Laugh. It's really the best medicine in the world.

ABOUT ME

I've always considered myself "young at heart". By that, I'm refering to the ability to always amaze myself, just like a child, even if it's about things that are usually taken for granted as an adult.

You can take a look at my girlfriend's profile here:

PHILOSOPHY

Gene Roddenberry, the creator and force behind "Star Trek", once said : "...humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day that it begins not just to tolerate, but to take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in life forms".

The saying "to walk a mile in another man's shoes" is another way of portraying the same idea. So basically, travel and meeting other people is probably more important for mankind than we can probably imagine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Receiving is nice, but giving while it's truly appreciated is wonderful too! Just like in "Pay it forward". So I hope to host at least as much as I get hosted. In the end, the friendship that can sprout up from hosting/surfing are what's left.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First CS experience as a host was great and I hope to be able to host more visitors in the future.

My first surfing experience as a guest happened earlier this year in Rome. Luche took great care of us.

Interests

Food is a great friend of mine. I'm always ready to try out anything new, and have very few dislikes.

I'm fond of sciences at large, but mainly biology and astronomy, because both, Life and the Cosmos, are wonderful and powerful.

I love rollercoasters, and so does my girlfriend. We've even had our first date at an amusement park. We like it fast, tall, and spinning in all directions.

Music, Movies, and Books

For the past 10 years, I've been going to the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal. I've been seeing between 20 and 30 films every year. My preferences are: fantasy, horror, humor, sci-fi.
In terms of books, I'm also into the same interests.
As for music, well, Disco music (70's) is really what I like best, I can't listen to that stuff enough. And it's impossible to stay sad when you listen to it!

My girlfriend is more into rock or alternative music: Creed, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers. She also comes and see a lot of film with me at Fantasia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work for a biotechnology business incubator. Our mission is to help young companies (startups) to get off on the right foot. We achieve this by reducing the burn rate of their initial fund raising. We do that by providing a park of scientific equipment, available on a shared basis. We also surround them with a multitude of services, in order for them to spend the maximum amount of time and money of their research. Business incubators can be found throughout the world.
