ABOUT ME

I was born, raised, and educated in the USA, but I've spent so much time outside of the country now that most people are surprised to learn my nationality. I recently taught university for 3 years in Yola, Nigeria, and then at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Now I'm back in my lovely neighborhood in Boston, MA (USA)-which turns out to be a much more popular destination for CSers than most of remote places I've lived in Africa!

PHILOSOPHY

When a person travels, he/she becomes a personal ambassador for their country. It's critical to listen to other people's beliefs and keep an open mind about them no matter how different they might be from your own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and surfing....but I'm not particularly interested in just providing a bed or finding a place to sleep. I like to interact with people so we can share experiences, laughs, and learn something from one another.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with CS members in Benin, Togo, Ghana, and the UK. I've hosted people from Russia, Austria, France, Croatia,and the USA at my apartment in Boston.

兴趣

I love travel (obviously),language, music, "ethnic" art, independent film, hiking, biking, skiing, yoga, and vegetarian food. I'm very interested in human rights issues, especially as they pertain to refugee and other marginalized populations.
