ABOUT ME

I'm a recent graduate in Illustration. I want to go, see , learn, experience... everything.
I'm quiet. I prefer listening to talking. I'm generally an awkward person, but I would consider myself to be friendly. I'm really chill... laid-back... I'm in no rush. Things happen as they happen. I'm bad at making decisions, which inhibits the moving forward of things. I have a tendency to let others decide things despite what I may want to do.
I dream of backpacking adventures, though my experiences to date can be counted on 1 finger. I dream of extensive travel. I dream of helping people. I dream of equality. I dream of making people happy one day. I dream of doing something worthwhile. I dream of being assertive and having a clear sense of myself. I dream of never growing apart from the people I love. I dream of living free of hesitation.
Dreams are only dreams until something is done about them.

Music is my go-to thing. I can be picky though... I like the visual arts as well. And stories, though I haven't read much lately. I make attempts at/enjoy: playing guitar, hiking, rollerblading(badly), drawing, throwing a frisbee around, swimming, watching thunderstorms, climbing things I probably shouldn't, reading/writing, watching Mythbusters, playing with dogs/cats, falling asleep, feeling breezes/winds, singing while driving by my self, listening to accents, staring off into space, gargantuan slip'n'slides, etc.

2005:
Visited part of the Great Wall of China way off into the countryside/mountains (i.e., away from high tourist-traffic). The sky was pretty clear as we ( my sister and I) ascended to the wall itself. As we walked along this rocky spine, we heard these ominous booms in the distance. later, we noticed this mean, dark grey-purple cloud moving at a quick pace toward us. We made it to one of the watchtowers in time for that cloud to wreak stormy havoc on everything around us . Whipping wind, substantially sized raindrops, some hail, lightning, deafening thunderclaps... and 10 minutes (if that) later, it was gone. The sun was out. The only evidence that it had stormed there at all was the damp stone of the Wall.

2009:
Saw a beautiful double rainbow on the way to the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. The next day while backpacking, I was nibbled on by a wild pony near Grayson Highlands. Cheeky little bugger... Thus, I was christened with the trail-name "Ponytreat".

2010:
At a music festival I went to where it was 90+ degrees and humid, I stopped by at a stage as Mumford & Sons were finishing up a song. Their next song was Thistle & Weeds. They reached the chorus, "Rain down, rain down on me", and as if on cue, it started to rain.

On the way back from that festival, a friend and I were driving on I-71 when we saw this odd-looking, low-hanging cloud that looked like it was churning up a tornado, with big bolts of lightning coming out of it to boot. We were well out of harms way, but the next morning, I went online to find that a statue on I-75 known as "Touchdown Jesus" was struck by lightning and burned the ground. The weather system we saw on 1-71 was the same one that incinerated Jesus.

2011:
Moab, Utah. It was raining on one side of the street, completely sunny and clear on the other side.
