HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf because I love to travel and the best way to see a place is to integrate with the locals. Best way to integrate is to stay with locals, eat and drink with locals.
I also love to host and share stories. I am a sucker for a good story teller!! I have learned many important lessons through my travels and intend to take my children around the world to learn their own lessons along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed all over the United States and most of Central and Eastern Europe (though most of it from personal contact). I am forward with asking for what I need and expect others to do the same.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was driving down the road listening to the Dr Dog CD when I saw Toby walking down the street here in Asheville... I asked if he needed a ride.. he did. The rest of the band was down the road and they needed a ride too.
It was one of the most surreal, exciting moments this year!

1) Always have a backup plan.
2) Interviewing someone before coming to stay at your house, or before staying at someone else's house will help the stay be comfortable for all parties involved. If you have specific needs or requests MAKE SURE YOU TELL THE OTHER PARTY!! I have learned more about what I like and don't like through the school of hard knocks. Its worth writing down!!
