About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mistake was that I started travelling early in life. Then it became more frequent. And now I'm finding it hard to stop. I recently started playing the saxophone and will go back to uni soon. But until then, many adventures await.
ABOUT ME
I've always been a bit of a traveller and lived in the US, UK, Germany, New Zealand, and most recently in Australia. I think this has made me very relaxed and open-minded, always looking for new things to do and places to visit.
In school and again at university I discovered my love for theatre and have generally managed to be part of a project/show/company wherever I went. Improvisational theatre especially.
I also love music! I own a few instruments back at home but I really only play the saxophone and the harmonica. Both of which I travel with!
In my life I have worked lots of different jobs, most recently in a hostel, in a health food store, on an olive grove (I am very interested in sustainable agriculture and have my own garden), rennovating houses, as an office hand ... I could go on... I enjoy diversity.
My next step will be to move back to Germany and hopefull start a MA in Environmental Policy and Planning, but until then I plan to see a bit more of the world.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't take myself too seriously and let other people do their thing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had couchsurfers whenever my living situation allowed it and only had good experiences. I love visiting places when they're connected to a friend or meeting new people in a new place. I couchsurfed all around japan and korea, gaining an insight into the culture I wouldn't have gotten any other way.
Last year I couchsurfed in America and met a guy who built a piano-bicycle, and I spontaneously got involved in his band's advertising gig for Bosch ... I'll tell you the whole story when I meet you ;)
Interests
Haha! Well. Quite a lot. Theatre and improv, music, books and all the usual, I loved doing sports too until I slipped a disk (back problems) but I still love yoga, hiking, and camping. I love hitchhiking too! Did it in NZ and it's my favourite way to travel.
Music is a big one too. I enjoy picking up and trying out new instruments and am currently learning to play the saxophone.

Music, Movies, and Books
very varied. I like electronic music, techno, dubstep, but also used to listen to a lot of metal and rock back in the day. Really anything to go with whatever mood same with films. I usually read two or three books at once. Jack Kerouac, Hermann Hesse, Hunter Thompson, Tolkien, if I had to throw a few names around. Movies I studied a lot as part of my degree, so yes, I like movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
spelunking is fantastic. I was in the caving society of my university. Amazing!
I love festivals. I do like going to festivals, camping out with hundreds or thousands of people, partying and creating art. I usually do at least one or two each year.
One time, I ate a whole black forest cherry cake by myself. That's right. All by myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
Even though I'm no linguist, I think I know my share of languages (German, English, Spanish, French) and am always eager to learn more.
I've a basic knowledge of music and could probably teach you a thing or two about the harmonica, or mouth-harp.
I used to teach improvisational theatre. Haven't done it in a while, but I guess I could ... ahem ... improvise.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am not a great cook, I'm afraid but when I couchsurf, I like to make it about meeting people, so I'd love to get to know you, hang out, give you a hand in the garden, or leave you be if you're busy. I'm really easy going and easy to get along with.
