ABOUT ME

My name is Isi and I am 31 years old. I did my masters degree in environmental engineering in Kassel, Germany and worked for a short time in an engineering office. After this I did a traineeship for two years in the regional council in the environment department. At the moment I am enjoying my parental leave thanks to my second child who was born in Januar 2021.

The guy next to me in the picture is my husband and traveling partner, Tim. Our last great experience with CS was in Romania and Serbia. Hitch hiking across the border was challenging. In Island we had our first night with CS as a family with our son and thanks to our couchsurfing host we saw the northern lights.

We love getting in contact with other cultures. We like cooking, hiking and passing the time relaxing in the sun. I love to take life as Isi as possible. ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to travel to as many countries as possible and CS is a great chance to get to know a country from another angle than the typical touristy one. I would also love to show you around Rheinhessen, giving you a home for a few days.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made my first experience in the Czech Republic and it was fantastic. Some years ago I spent one week travelling around in Estonia and I surfed 3 different couches. It was one of the best experiences in my life.

Intereses

I like to help other people and also to protect the nature, therefore I worked long time for the organisation NABU (Nature Protection Federation) in Germany and spent for example my holidays working voluntarily in Estonia for a building project.
