ABOUT ME

I simply love to travel and get to know new cultures.
Back in time, when I was travelling I was absolutely into sightseeing. Like see as much as possible in the given time. Nowadays, I just like to spent time with locals and see the real world, not the one for the tourists.

PHILOSOPHY

Always look on the bright side of life.
In everything that happens in your life you can find something positive if you want to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mainly by hosting. It's just fun to get to know people from different parts of the world and the stories they have to tell.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I am very lucky with my surfers. We always had a good time and even funny stories like I expect a couple showing up, but than it is just the husband because his wife missed the plane. ;-)

Since we moved together I introduced my wife Julia to CS and we are hosting again. She really likes the conversations with our surfers.

- the Cologne Cathedral
- my first dunking ;-)
- the stars over my second home in Austria
- my first turtle while diving
- Whales at Tadoussac
- watching and listening to how a puma is made ;-)
- Royal Palace in Bangkok
- Angkor Wat and all the other temples around
- Indian Summer at East Canada
- the first try of a calw to stand on the own legs
- the Pope driving by just centimetres in front of me while attending the final service of the World Youth Day in Cologne
- being blessed by the Dalai Lama during a private audience
- jumping out of an airplane at 3.300m
