About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Socially: I want to hear peoples stories and tell them mine. Academically: I want to contribute to mathematics and our understanding of the universe.
ABOUT ME
I love math, and I love science, but possibly more-so, I love stories. I love hearing anecdotes and tales. I love to hear how things came to be and what happened while they were becoming so. I like to tell my own stories, and I like to have stories to tell. I tell stories in many ways, including photography, journaling, design, and of course oration.
PHILOSOPHY
I fill my time with as much as possible. I like to be doing rather than sitting. I like to fantasize, but not so much to relax. I think that a life full of experiences and stories is a life well spent.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have an open couch, and open ears.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed last year around the Winter holidays. My experience was about as good as one could ask. My first hosts were wonderful people, giving, caring, interesting and all around helpful. Our second hosts were living in a group home(house of Voltaire in Geneva) and the liveliness was an unforgettable experience. Of the 18 people living in the house, we met about 13, and they were all excellent beautiful people. Our third host lived alone in Brussels, and wow-ed us with his hospitality and friendliness. I was truly amazed how fast people I didn't know at all, treated me like an old friend.
Interests
My main interests are math, science, reading, photography, and traveling. Some important other amusements include: bike polo, juggling, yoga, dancing, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, climbing(gym), DnD, board games, writing fiction, tea, coffee, Lego, and of course music. Obviously some of those overlap and feed one another, and that is just how I like it.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movies would be The Fountain, Proof, and James and the Giant Peach. My taste is music is pretty varied, but Queen is probably my favorite, followed by Pink Floyd. I read a lot, primarily fantasy and biography. A song of Ice and Fire, Genius, Shantaram, Brief Interviews with Hideos Men, The Plague, Les Miserables, Wind up Bird Chronicle, The Earthsea Trilogy, The Last Unicorn and A Clockwork Orange are some of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was about thirteen, I watched the Lunar Prospector take off from Cape Canaveral. I will never forget the bright orange skies as it took off.
Last year I got lost on Jungfraujoch and missed the traincar off the mountain. As twilight approached and my partner and I were still walking around lost, a ski-patrol found us, and took us down the slope on his snowmobile. This was truly amazing.
That's two, sorry.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I am a mathematician and an amateur photographer. I would be more than willing to help in whatever way I can with someone trying to learn something about either. I also dabble in lots of other things, like role playing, yoga, tai chi, juggling, physics, breakdancing, skateboarding, and guitar.
