Revisiting my second home city!

ABOUT ME

Hi. I'm an actor and a singer currently residing in New York.

I've been living in the city for about three years, and I've decided that this is my third home.

Ever since I was born, I moved around and I never lived in one place for more than five years. I mainly lived in South Korea and Vancouver, Canada. So it's really hard to say exactly where I'm from when people ask me.

I guess I'd like to say that I'm in introvert mistaken as an extrovert. Don't get me wrong, I love meeting new people. I love hearing their stories and I love finding out what they love. It's really captivating to see people light up when they talk about their passion. While I am outgoing and I love being surrounded by people, I balance it out by having some alone time. I think that's how I de-stress.

I love cooking for people if that's anything. I think eating together is a great way to get to know people and build a bond. Also, my mom and my grandma taught me it's important to cook for others. So there's that.

Other than that, I'm in love with off-Broadway scene with emerging writers and various talents, indie films, and music.

Also I love Michael Jackson and Fred Astaire.

PHILOSOPHY

That's a good question. I guess for now, it's about letting go. Like everyone else, I love planning life. But obviously things don't work out that way. I just want to enjoy the ride without freaking out so much. I think this way, I could see the beauty in what is present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to find someone who is willing to host, explore the city with me every once in awhile (obviously you don't have to be with me the whole time). Maybe meet some of my friends, if I know anybody in the city?

I'm also totally down to have a little home-made dinner night. I'll cook. All you got to do is bring a bottle of wine for me and the guests:)

This is also a fun social experiment for me. I've never done couch surfing before, and I think it's a good chance to push my comfort level and hopefully get amazing experience out of this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a house for habitat for humanity in Bohol, Philippines. It was the most amazing experience of my life.

I've had dinner with Aaron Carter, discussed the problems behind his approach to women, and how lonely it could be to be a child star. I mean, our souls connected. Really. And I'm happy to share the whole story with you.
