Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Growing up and figuring out what this life thing is about.
ABOUT ME
I was born in a green school bus, and that's only the beginning. I love words, love writing, and am studying language and literature (German and English) at university. Jan. to Aug. 2011 I spent in Western Europe, first traveling and then studying in Bamberg, Germany.
PHILOSOPHY
Every birthday, every wishbone, every 11:11, anytime I have an excuse to wish for anything, I wish to be happy. I'm still discovering this big bad world, but I think I am. Staying positive, staying cheerful, and making other people happy are some of the best things one can do in life, and I hope to keep on doing them for many years yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed a lot while traveling, and now that I'm settled I hope to host myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I moved around a lot as a child, and since my parents were hippies and tie-dye sellers we stayed in a number of places, with a number of people. I have been offered the opportunity to study abroad and travel, and to meet fellow CSers while traveling. It was an enlightening experience, full of language barriers and confusion and wonderful sights and conversations and people. I hope for much more!
Interests
Books. Writing. Way too much television, probably. Dancing, music, photography. Sleep, after a long and satisfying day of trekking around an unknown place. Textures and churches and language and the way it sounds in a conversation between friends, or in the background on public transportation. Architecture. Paper and pens.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book of all time:
The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester (1954, Noir Science Fiction)
The other four on my Top Five List, in no particular order:
Beach Music by Pat Conroy (1986, Southern Fiction)
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (1938, Dark Mystery Romance)
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë (1847, Victorian Romance)
Time Enough for Love by Robert Heinlein (1973, Adventure, Science Fiction)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stood on top of the tallest tower of the chateau in Angers, France with the wind in my face and the sun behind the churches. It felt like I was on the top of the world, and nothing could bring me down.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to make awesome tie-dyes, and I've studied English grammar for the better part of five years, so I can probably teach any nitpicky subjects you don't understand. I can teach basic conversational German, or at least a few sentences for a tourist. I would love to learn new languages, or topics. Old movies, classical music, the differences in different types of architecture, or the history of a place. If you know something about something, chances are it will interest me.
