About Me
I'm Chris! I'm an actor in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I've traveled a decent amount in the US -- favorite places include Memphis, TN; Chicago, IL; Carlsbad Caverns, NM; and San Francisco, CA. As of this writing, 8/17/18, I'm planning my first trip abroad: London and Dorchester, UK.
In traveling, I want to see your museums, eat at your out-of-the-way, hole-in-the-wall neighborhood favorites, drink the local brews, hear the local tongues. What makes your home yours?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If I'm traveling, I want to meet locals. That's half the fun of going. Can't do that at hotels. Airbnb is fine, but their motive could be financial, not adventure. But if you're a Couchsurfing host, you're interested in the same thing as me -- meeting interesting people from other places who yo wouldn't ordinarily meet. Those are the people I want to be around on a trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love baseball. I told myself that if the Chicago Cubs were ever in the position to win the World Series, I would be in Chicago on that day. So on November 2, 2016, my girlfriend at the time and I left Atlanta at 6:00am and drove the 715 miles to Chicago. We watched Game 7 from the Billy Goat Tavern on Michigan Avenue. The Cubbies won for the first time since the 1908 season. We celebrated with the city for as long as we could, but we had to get back to Atlanta, so we left at 2:00am and drove the 715 miles back.
1430 miles, 36 hours, 10 innings, and the pure joy of 108 seasons of futility ending.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught semi-professionally before, and I learned that I'm not much of a teacher. I'll talk about anything, and I can try to explain or show the way, but I wouldn't call myself a teacher.
I want to learn your language and dialect. Local slang and idioms, accents, shorthand -- language is the great invention of our species, and its endless variety is fascinating.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can throw down some Shakespeare at a moment's notice. I'll jam on guitar, if you've got one. I'm a decent cook. Great at bar trivia, so let's go drink and win.
