ABOUT ME

I just wanna liveeeeee...

specifically, in a different continent in every quarter of my life. I'm a Singaporean in many ways and I love my country but travelling has opened my eyes to the amazing beauty of this earth and now I can't get enough.

sometimes Im chatty, hyperactive, bullshitty.
sometimes Im quiet, silent, do-not-disturb.
I am spontaneous, random, flippant.
And I'm still trying to learn more about myself. so maybe you can tell me what sort of person I am. then fill this space for me. that will be cool.

Currently, Im at the crossroads of life, waiting for the next adventure, for the next surprise. Rolling the dice of life to see where it will take me. I wanna go everywhere but I only have 1 body, 1 soul and 24 hours per day. Well actually, that's enough. Let's see...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Incredible. Some hosts treat you like family and they become part of your life. Made me realise we live in a funny and crazy world and that the human spirit can be very noble. I met my partner through CS and it has been 5 years since. How can I say CS didn't totally change my life?

The best feeling is to keep in touch with people I've met along the way. Sometimes a little fate can take you a long way.

In 2011, I sent my book, entitled Shantaram, on a trip around the world. It is a fantastic thriller about an Australian convict who escaped to India, set up a clinic and fought a war in Afghanistan for the mafia. Let me know if you're interested to pick it up. Hopefully, I'll be able to set up a website for it some day :)

I've witnessed generosity from the less privileged and that shows that sometimes, poverty is just a state of the mind.A cute moroccan boy shared his chocolate with me. Then my heart melted.Waking up to see a baby cucumber sprouting from my compost patch.
