I am 26 years old and am currently following many irish before me and completing my working holiday visa in Oz with my boyfriend Mark. So far we've been busy with farmwork so we are looking forward to starting are new adventure down the east coast along with our valient steed Marshall the car!
I love the messy adventure that is backpacking and have enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life!
Through woofing and work away I have been given the opportunity to learn some interesting skills and I love the challenge of been put to a task that I would never have considered doing before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling but hate the feeling that I'm just covering ground. When I look back on my travels I want to have more than cities to my name. Couchsurfing is a great way to really get a feel for a place and experience a bit more than your average holiday.
Interests
I have a passion for history and have really enjoyed learning more about cultures around the world.
I've been teaching English for the last few months and have thoroughly enjoyed working with kids. I'm an animal lover and my dream job would be to run a rescue center.

Music, Movies, and Books
If I had to listen to a genre of music for the rest of my life it would be acoustic rock but saying that I also love to dance, to mosh and to belt out the odd love ballad!!
I'll read anything that's put in front of me but the books that I'll never tire of reading are Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter.
Any Guy Ritchie or Wes Anderson movie is good with me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first work away experience opened my eyes to what we can do when given the right tools and encouragement! I had never picked up a hammer in my life, like many of the volunteers that had passed through Gili Meno Eco-Hostel however with the support of the wonderful owners we built what is bound to become a backpackers paradise.
My contribution to the project was a rain water harvesting system. I can honestly say that finishing it made me prouder than passing any exam!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've discovered in the past few month that we set our own limits. It may sound cheesy and simple but by realizing this I have lost the fear and am really excited to discover how much I can do. With a little guidance I'll try my hand at anything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My jobs in the past have usually involved working with children, I've volunteered in youth cafes, taught kayaking, been a nanny and of late taught English so I have plenty of games, songs and enthusiasm to bring to the table.
